Commercial Information Circular No. 86/99
The Mainland of China : Final Determination of the
Anti-Dumping Investigation on Newsprint from Canada,
the Republic of Korea and the United States
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) and the State Economic and Trade Commission announced on 3 June 1999 the final determination of the anti-dumping investigation on newsprint from Canada, the Republic of Korea and the United States. It confirmed that there is dumping from these three countries, causing material injury to China's industries. Mainland Customs will therefore charge anti-dumping duties at a range of 9% to 78% on imports of newsprint from these countries with effect from 3 June 1999.
