The
Mainland of China : New Management Measures on Processing Trade
My Commercial Information
Circulars No. 69/99 of 11 May 1999 and No. 136/99 of 10 September 1999
related a set of new Regulations on the classification standards of processing
enterprises. The Mainland Customs General Administration further issued
on 20 December 1999 the attached notice,
setting out, among other things, that the processing enterprises of Category
A are not required to pay guaranty under the Shadow Margin Account Scheme
when importing restricted commodities.

effective date of the notice is 1 January 2000. |
