Mexico : New Energy Efficiency Standards for Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Lamps
The Mexico government has amended the mandatory energy efficiency standard for light-emitting diode (LED) lamps for general lighting purposes. The new standard NOM-030-ENER-2016 will enter into force on 17 April 2017.
DETAILS
2.The new standard sets out the energy efficiency requirements (e.g. minimum luminous efficiency, luminous flux and correlated colour temperature), test procedures, sampling, conformity assessment and labelling requirements for LED lamps for general lighting purposes. Mexico also amended the current marking and packaging requirements for LED lamps.
