Commercial Information Circular No. 864/2013

Colombia : Modification of Import Tariffs and Removal of Tariff Rate Quota on Agricultural Products

The Colombian government has modified the import tariffs, and removed tariff rate quota on certain of agricultural products. A summary of the changes is set out as follows:

  1. Import tariffs of certain agricultural products classified under Colombian Harmonised Tariff Schedule (HTSCO) codes 3102.21.0000, 3102.29.0000, 3102.30.0000, 3102.60.0000, 3102.80.0000, 3102.90.9000, 3105.20.0000, 3105.51.0000, 3105.90.2000, 3808.50.0011, 3808.50.0019, 3808.91.1100, 3808.91.1900, 3808.91.9200, 3808.91.9990, 3808.92.1900, 3808.92.9900, 3808.93.1900, 3808.93.9200, 3808.93.9900, 3808.94.1900, 3808.99.1900 and 3808.99.9900 would benefit from duty-free treatment for two years from 12 September 2013.
  1. Import tariff rate quota of 3,000 tonnes of wholly or partially demineralised whey under HTSCO code 0404.10.1000 originally benefitted from a reduced duty of 20% was rescinded. Imports of such products will be subject to the normal tariff rate of 94%.
