Chile : Addition of Two Food Additives to Food Code

The Chilean government issued Decree No. 11/2013 on 6 August 2013 to add two food additives to its national food code with immediate effect. The two food additives are: (1) ammonium salts of phosphatidic acid, subject to a 10 g/kg limit, in cocoa powder mixtures and certain cocoa and chocolate preparations; and (2) ethyl lauroyl arginate, subject to a 200 mg/kg limit.
