Commercial Information Circular No. 710/2013
Brazil : Conformity Certification Requirements for Certain Automotive Parts
The National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (INMETRO) of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil issued Decree No. 268/2013 on 28 May 2013 to establish the conformity certification requirements and compliance dates for certain steering terminals, steering bars, connection bars and axial terminals for motor vehicles:
| Compliance Date | Application Criteria | |
|---|---|---|
| (i) | 29 November 2014 | manufacture and import of such products |
| (ii) | 29 May 2015 | domestic sale of such products by manufacturers and importers |
| (iii) | 29 May 2016 | domestic sale of such products by all other parties |
