Commercial Information Circular No. 673/2013

US : CPSC Amended Safety Standard for Play Yards

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) of 19 August 2013 a final rule amending the mandatory safety standard for play yards to incorporate by reference the most recent version of ASTM's play yard standard ASTM F406-13.

2.The ASTM standard addressed hazards associated with play yard bassinet accessories misassembly. The rule will become effective on 19 February 2014.
