Canada : Industry Guide to Children's Jewellery Issued

Health Canada recently issued "Industry Guide to Children's Jewellery" (the Guide), a concise industry guide for children's jewellery manufactured, sized, packaged, advertised or sold in Canada, summarising the safety requirements under the provisions of the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act and the Children's Jewellery Regulations.

2. The Guide defines "child" and "children's jewellery". It also includes details on prevailing regulatory provisions for lead and cadmium content. A copy of the Guide is enclosed at Appendix (pdf format) for easy reference.
