Dear Sirs,
Commercial Information Circular No. 612/2013
Chile : Amendment on the Value Assessment of "FCA" in Customs Regulations
The Chilean government issued Exempt Resolution No. 5449/2013 on 30 May 2013 to amend the value assessment of "FCA" in paragraphs 10.7 and 10.8 of Annex 18 of Customs Regulations.
2. The "FCA" clause regarding the location agreed for delivery of goods may be used to declare the value of the imports excluding free on board (FOB)-related costs. The Chilean government clarified that 4.79% will be applied to the "FCA" value for sea and air operations, and 0.5% for land operations, in the absence of effective FOB value.
3. For details, traders are advised to consult their importers in Chile and/or the abovementioned Chilean Exempt Resolution (in Spanish), which is available at http://www.aduana.cl/resolucion-exenta-n-5449-30-05-2013/aduana/2013-05-31/182219.html.
