Brazil : Requirements for Imported Plastic Seating for Sporting Events

Pursuant to Commercial Information Circular No. 47/2013 of 15 January 2013 regarding the establishment of conformity certification requirements for plastic seats in the Brazilian Decree No. 622/2012 in November 2012, the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) of Brazil issued Decree No. 269/2013 on 28 May 2013 to clarify that importers or manufacturers who had a contract for procurement of seats for sporting events in place before 26 November 2012 are not subject to Decree No. 622/2012.
