Colombia : Temporary Tariff Elimination for Certain Products and Update of Import Licensing Regime
The Colombian government issued Decree No. 0899 in May 2013 to temporarily eliminate the duties of certain products until 15 August 2013. These products are classified under HTSCO codes 3204.19.90, 3204.90.00, 3207.10.00, 3207.20.90, 3209.90.00, 3215.90.90, 3903.11.00, 3904.40.00, 3905.29.00, 3905.91.00, 3907.20.90, 3907.30.10.90, 3917.21.10, 3917.23.10, 3917.32.91, 3917.39.10, 3920.30.90, 3920.51.00, 3920.62.00.10, 4802.56.20, 4802.69.10, 4805.93.20, 4805.93.30, 4810.14.90, 4810.99.00, 4811.51.90, 4811.90.50 and 7607.19.00. The regular most-favoured-nation rate of duty for these products will be reinstated afterwards.
2. Separately, the Colombian government issued Decree no. 0925 in May 2013 to update the import licensing regime for the 187 tariff lines that currently require an import licence. The Decree details the goods that need a licence prior to importation, the appropriate procedures and requirements that must be met, and the government’s obligation under the import licensing regime.
