Argentina : Notification Requirements for Certificate of Compliance for Bicycles Amended

The Argentine government issued Resolution No. 34/2013 in May 2013 to require accredited certification bodies to submit to the National Industry Directorate (Dirección Nacional de Industria) a copy of the certificate of compliance for new bicycles within forty-eight hours of its issuance.

2.  Argentina established a mandatory safety certification regime for marketing new bicycles in 2003, under which new bicycles must be certified by a duly accredited certification body in accordance with the safety requirements.  Resolution No. 34/2013 supplements this regime.
