Commercial Information Circular No. 495/2013

US : CPSC: Safety Standards for Infant Walkers and Infant Swings

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) of 24 June 2013 a direct final rule updating the existing safety standard for infant walkers and infant swings.

2.The update is to incorporate by reference more recent versions of the applicable ASTM standards. ASTM's revisions to its standards make these standards nearly the same as the CPSC-mandated standards. The rule is effective on 7 October 2013, unless significant adverse comment is received by 24 July 2013.
