US : Anti-dumping Action against Prestressed Concrete Steel Rail Tie Wire from the Mainland of China : Initiation of Investigation

International Trade Administration of the US Department of Commerce (DoC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 20 May 2013 the initiation of anti-dumping duty investigation to determine whether imports of prestressed concrete steel rail tie from the Mainland of China were being, or were likely to be, sold in the US at less than fair value. The relevant FR notice is available at http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2013-05-20/pdf/2013-11970.pdf.

2. Exporters and producers wishing to obtain separate-rate status in the anti-dumping investigation are required to submit a separate-rate status application. The specific requirements for submitting the separate-rate application are detailed in the application itself, which is available on the DoC's website at http://trade.gov/ia/ia-highlights-and-news.html. The separate-rate application is due 60 days after publication of the FR notice. Also, exporters and producers who submit a separate-rate status and are selected as mandatory respondents are required to respond to all parts of the questionnaire as mandatory respondents to be eligible for separate-rate status. DoC requests respondents to submit a response to the separate-rate application by the deadlines in order to receive consideration for separate-rate status.

The Bureau is responsible for, among others, conducting anti-dumping investigations, and guiding and coordinating enterprises in the Guangdong province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the Guangdong Province.
