Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 339/2013

US : Anti-dumping Actions against Hardwood and Decorative Plywood from the Mainland of China: Preliminary Determination of Sales at Less than Fair Value

The US Department of Commerce (DoC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 3 May 2013 its preliminary determination that hardwood and decorative plywood from the Mainland of China were being, or were likely to be, sold in the US at less than fair value. The weighted-average dumping margins were found to be 0.62% - 63.96%. DoC's final determination will be issued 75 days after publication of this preliminary determination. The FR notice is available at: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2013-05-03/pdf/2013-10532.pdf.

2.On 28 November 2012, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) already issued its preliminary affirmative determination that there was a reasonable indication that an industry in the US was materially injured by reason of imports of hardwood and decorative plywood from the Mainland of China. If the final determination of the DoC is affirmative, the ITC will make its final determination on whether the domestic industry in the US is materially injured, or threatened with material injury, by reason of the subject imports within 45 days after the DoC's final determination.
