Commercial Information Circular No. 32/2013

US : Energy Labeling Rule

The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) published in the Federal Register (FR) of 10 January 2013 a final rule amending the Appliance Labeling Rule. The relevant FR notice is available at:

DETAILS

2.In gist, FTC is amending the Appliance Labeling Rule by streamlining data reporting requirements for manufacturers, clarifying testing requirements and enforcement provisions, improving online energy label disclosures, and making several minor technical changes and corrections.

3.There are different effective dates for the amendments. Please refer to the above-mentioned FR notice for these dates and details of the amendments.
