Canada : Consultation on Potential Regulatory Amendments to the Playpens Regulations

Health Canada published a consultation on potential regulatory amendments to the Playpens Regulations on 16 April 2013.

DETAILS

2.It is proposed that the Playpens Regulations of the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act be amended to enhance safety through (i) aligning with particular existing requirements from the Canadian Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations; and (ii) further aligning Canada's safety requirement with comparable rules of the United States of America, and the ASTM International play yard standard. Comments in this connection are to be submitted no later than 29 June 2013.
