Canada : Anti-dumping and Countervailing Actions against Certain Unitized Wall Modules from the Mainland of China: Initiation of Investigations

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) published a notice on 4 March 2013 announcing the initiation of investigations into the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of certain unitized wall modules originating in or exported from the Mainland of China.  On 5 March 2013, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) issued a notice announcing the initiation of a preliminary injury inquiry to determine whether the alleged dumped or subsidized imports had caused injury or retardation or were threatening to cause injury to the Canadian industry.  The notices by the CBSA and the CITT are available at:

2.Details of the CBSA's investigations, including its investigation schedule, are available at http://cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi/i-e/menu-eng.html.  The Statement of Reason on the case will be released by 19 March 2013 at the same website.  Parties wishing to participate in the CITT's inquiry must file a notice of participation with the CITT by 20 March 2013.

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product(s) in the Guangdong Province, please contact Chen Li-peng, Director of the Bureau of Fair Trade for Import and Export under the Guangdong Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, at 8620 3881 9913.  The Bureau is responsible for, among others, conducting anti dumping investigations, and guiding and coordinating enterprises in the Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the Guangdong Province.
