Commercial Information Circular No. 161/2013

Colombia : Prior Approval of Applications for Import Registration and Licence

The Colombian government issued Circular No. 50/2012 on 22 November 2012 to update a list of products which require prior approval of applications for import registration and licence using the Single Window for Foreign Trade (or "Ventanilla Unica de Comercio Exterior" Spanish).

2.The product list includes goods subject to sanitary control to protect human, plant or animal health; goods subject to technical regulations; goods subject to emission certifications; vehicles subject to regulatory approval; goods subject to quantitative safeguard quotas; and goods subject to controls for environmental protection.
