Commercial Information Circular No. 150/2013
Chile : Sworn Declaration for Imports of Satellite TV Decoders
The trade was informed via Commercial Information Circular No. 386/2012 of 29 May 2012 that the Chilean government established certain additional documentation requirements for imports of satellite television decoders. The Chilean government issued an Exempt Resolution No. 9720/2012 on 29 November 2012 to amend the documentation requirements.
2. The sworn declaration for satellite decoders that are able to decode a signal emitted by paid satellite TV operators must include the name of the company that granted the licence to decode such signal. The sworn declaration must include the term "free to air" (FTA) as part of the product description to indicate the type, class, kind or variety of the decoder.
