Commercial Information Circular No. 1054/2013

Argentina : Energy Efficiency Requirements for Certain Air Conditioners

The Argentine government issued Resolution No. 814/2013 on 31 October 2013 to establish energy efficiency requirements for certain air conditioners.

2. Certain air conditioners with a cooling capacity lower or equal to seven kilowatts are required to comply with the following energy efficiency requirements:

  1. "Class B" in cooling mode of IRAM 62406:2007, i.e. the maximum level of specific energy consumption or minimum level of energy efficiency, with effect from 1 April 2014;
  1. "Class C" in cooling mode of IRAM 62406:2007 with effect from 1 April 2014; and
  1. "Class A" in cooling mode of IRAM 62406:2007 with effect from 1 April 2015.
