Commercial Information Circular No. 961/2012

US : Anti-dumping Action against Silica Bricks and Shapes from the Mainland of China: Institution of Investigation and Scheduling of Preliminary Phase Investigation

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 23 November 2012 the institution of investigation and commencement of preliminary phase anti-dumping duty investigation to determine whether there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the US is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the US is materially retarded, by reason of imports of silica bricks and shapes from the Mainland of China that are alleged to be sold in the US at less than fair value. 2.Interested parties wishing to participate in the investigation should file an entry of appearance with ITC not later than seven days after publication of the FR notice. Written submissions should reach ITC on or before 11 December 2012. Besides, ITC has scheduled a conference in connection with the investigation on 6 December 2012 in which parties wishing to participate should contact ITC not later than 4 December 2012 to arrange for their appearance.

The Bureau is responsible for, among others, conducting anti-dumping investigations, and guiding and coordinating enterprises in the Guangdong province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the Guangdong Province.
