Commercial Information Circular No. 826/2012

Ecuador : Import Quota on Cell Phones

The Ecuadorian Government issued Resolution No. 67/2012 to establish annual import quota on cell phones classified under Harmonized Tariff Schedule of Ecuador (HTSEC) 8517.12.0090.

2. Importers of cell phones have to comply with both the quotas specified in US dollars and total unit for imports into Ecuador. The quotas will be valid until 31 December 2014 and be automatically renewed for one-year period on 1 January of 2013 and 2014.
