Commercial Information Circular No. 824/2012

Brazil : Modification of Import Tariffs on Various Products

The Brazilian Government has modified the import tariffs of a number of products. A summary of the changes is set out as follows:

  1. Import tariffs of certain uninterrupted power supplies classified under Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) Common Classification (NCM)code 8504.40.40 have been increased from 14% to 20% from 21 August 2012.

  2. Import tariffs of certain printed circuits classified under NCM codes 8534.00.11, 8534.00.12, 8534.00.13, 8534.00.19, 8534.00.31, 8534.00.32, 8534.00.33, 8534.00.39, 8534.00.51 and 8534.00.59 have been increased from 10% to 12% from 21 August 2012.

  3. Import tariffs of certain memory cards classified under NCM code 8523.51.10 have been increased to 16% from 21 August 2012.
