Commercial Information Circular No. 791/2012

US : Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Residential Dishwashers

The US Department of Energy (DoE) published in the Federal Register (FR) of 1 October 2012 a notice confirming the adoption of the energy conservation standards for residential dishwashers. Relevant FR notice is available at:

DETAILS

2.The trade was informed via Commercial Information Circular No. 391/2012 of 30 May 2012 DoE's direct final rule amending the energy conservation standards for residential dishwashers. DoE has determined that the adverse comments in response to the direct final rule were not sufficiently adverse to provide a reasonable basis for withdrawing the direct final rule. Hence, DoE is now confirming adoption of the standards established in the direct final rule.

3.The effective date of the direct final rule is 27 September 2012. Compliance with the standards will be required on 30 May 2013.
