Mexico : Phytosanitary Measures for Wood Packaging Materials

The Mexican Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources published in the Official Gazette (Diario Oficial de la Federación) of 16 August 2012 an updated official standard NOM-144-SEMARNAT-2012 on wood packaging materials. DETAILS

2. The Mexican official standard, which implements internationally recognised phytosanitary measures for wood packaging materials used in international trade, has been updated to take into account the latest applicable international standards. For details of Mexico's updated standard including its coverage and exemption, treatment guidelines, marking instructions and other requirements etc, please refer to the above-mentioned notice.
