Canada : Amendment 11 to the Energy Efficiency Regulations
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued on 27 January 2012 a customs notice (12-002) reminding the coming into force on 12 April 2012 of Amendment 11 to the Energy Efficiency Regulations. The customs notice is available at:

DETAILS
2.Among others, Amendment 11 will introduce new minimum energy performance standards and associated reporting and compliance requirements for five new products, namely standby for electronic products, external power supplies, digital TV adaptors, electric boilers, and single package vertical air-conditioners and heat pumps. Amendment 11 will also expand the scope of some products such as electric motors, dry-type transformers and large air conditioners.
