Commercial Information Circular No. 731/2012

Brazil : Mandatory Technical Requirements for Commercial Electric Ovens

The National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (INMETRO) of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil issued Decree No. 371/2012 on 20 July 2012 to establish mandatory technical requirements for commercial electric ovens. To prevent risk and conserve energy, commercial electric ovens are required to meet certain electrical safety and energy effciency standards.
