US: Energy Conservation Program: Test Procedures for General Service Fluorescent Lamps and General Service Incandescent Lamps
The US Department of Energy published in the Federal Register (FR) of 27 January 2012 a final rule amending its test procedures for general service fluorescent lamps (GSFLs) and general service incandescent lamps (GSILs). DETAILS
2.Major aspects of the final rule include:
updating test procedures for GSFLs and GSILs by incorporating certain lighting industry standards; and
establishing a new test procedure for determining GSIL rated lifetime.
3.The rule is effective from 27 February 2012 and the final rule changes will be mandatory for product testing starting 25 July 2012.
