Canada : Anti-dumping and Countervailing Actions against Certain Stainless Steel Sinks from the Mainland of China: Preliminary Determinations

On 25 January 2012, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidising in respect of certain stainless steel sinks originating in or exported from the Mainland of China. The estimated margins of dumping were found to be in the range of 21.1% - 55%, whereas the estimated amounts of subsidy in the range of 0.07% - 19.5%. A copy (pdf format) of CBSA's announcement for the determinations is appended to this circular for reference. 

2.Additional information about these investigations is contained in a Statement of Reasons, which will be available on 9 February 2012 on the CBSA’s website at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi. The CBSA will make its final determinations on 24 April 2012.

The Bureau is responsible for, among others, conducting anti dumping investigations, and guiding and coordinating enterprises in the Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the Guangdong Province.
