US : Lacey Act Declaration Requirement: Notice of Request for Extension of Approval of an Information Collection
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) of the US Department of Agriculture issued in the Federal Register (FR) of 6 June 2012 a notice announcing its intension to request an extension of approval of an information collection required by the Lacey Act. DETAILS
2. Section 3 of the Lacey Act makes it unlawful to import certain plants and plant products without an import declaration. APHIS is requesting the Office of Management and Budget to approve the information collection activities pursuant to the Act for an additional 3 years. Interested parties are invited to submit comments by 6 August 2012.
