Chile: Sworn Declaration for Imports of Satellite TV Decoders
The Chilean Government issued a Resolution No. 2629/2012 on 11 April 2012 to establish certain additional documentation requirements for imports of satellite television decoders. The Resolution has come into effect on 11 April 2012.
2.The importers of satellite television decoders are required to submit a sworn declaration stating that the decoder is a “free to air” (FTA) decoder which only allows reception of free satellite signals. If the decoder can also receive paid satellite signals, the importers has to submit a sworn declataion indicating such feature and the compliance with the regulations on intellectual property rights.
