Commercial Information Circular No. 299/2012

US : Energy Conservation Program: Correction to the Test Procedures for Residential Clothes Washers

The US Department of Energy (DoE) published in the Federal Register (FR) of 24 April 2012 a correction to its earlier final rule establishing new and amended test procedures for residential clothes washers. DETAILS

2.The trade was informed via Commercial Information Circular No. 193/2012 of 9 March 2012 the DoE's final rule on test procedures for residential clothes washers, as published in the FR of 7 March 2012. Because of an erroneous reference in the final rule concerning the calculation of annual operating cost, the DoE is now issuing a correction to rectify the error.
 

3.The correction is effective 24 April 2012.
