Commercial Information Circular No. 291/2012

Argentina : Non-automatic Import Licensing Requirements for Paper

The Argentine Government has issued a Resolution No. 27/2012 on 21 March 2012 to amend certain non-automatic import licensing requirements for paper under Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) Common Classification (NCM) codes 4802.52.30, 4802.52.90, 4802.53.90 and 4823.59.00 as stipulated in Resolution No. 798/1999. The Resolution extends the validity of non-automatic import licence for papers from 30 days to 60 days. It also requires the importers to submit additional information of the goods, such as quality, dimensions and quantity, model, total FOB value, etc., for application of non-automatic import licence.
