Commercial Information Circular No. 1116/2012

US : Energy Conservation Program: Certification of Certain Commercial and Industrial Equipment

The US Department of Energy (DoE) published in the Federal Register (FR) of 31 December 2012 a notice amending compliance dates for manufacturers to submit certification reports for certain commercial and industrial equipment. The relevant FR notice is available at: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2012-12-31/pdf/2012-31373.pdf.

DETAILS

2.Specifically, DoE is extending the compliance date for the certification provisions for commercial refrigeration equipment; commercial heating, ventilating, air-conditioning equipment; as well as commercial water heating equipment to 31 December 2013. DoE is also extending the certification date for automatic commercial ice makers to 1 August 2013. In addition, DoE is adopting a correction to the packaged terminal equipment standards table.
