Commercial Information Circular No. 1107/2012

Chile : Conformity Certification Requirements for Electrical and Fuel-powered Products

The Chilean government issued Exempt Resolution No. 1497/2012 in September 2012 to establish conformity certification requirements for certain electrical and fuel-powered products. The Exempt Resolution took effect from 1 December 2012.

2.Electrical and fuel-powered products sold in Chile must bear a certification mark carrying the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuel (SEC) logo, a code and a serial number. The certification mark must be affixed to the body of the product in a visible location. It must also be clearly legible and durable.
