Mexico : Official Standard for Household Clothes Washers

The Mexican authorities published in the Official Gazette (Diario Oficial de la Federación) of 6 November 2012 an updated official standard NOM-005-ENER-2012 for household clothes washers. The relevant Gazette notice (in Spanish) is available at:

DETAILS

2.The official standard applies to relevant household electrical clothes washers marketed within Mexico. Among others, it establishes the energy factor and energy consumption levels for compliance, as well as applicable test methods and labelling requirements for the products concerned.

3.The official standard will enter into force 90 calendar days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
