Canada : Anti-dumping and Countervailing Actions Against Certain Pup Joints from the Mainland of China: Preliminary Determinations

On 12 December 2011, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidising in respect of certain oil country tubular goods pup joints originating in or exported from the Mainland of China. The estimated margins of dumping were found to be 32.4% and 169%, whereas the estimated amounts of subsidy 8.8% and 50.8%. A copy (pdf format) of CBSA’s announcement for the determinations is appended to this circular for reference. 

2.Additional information about these investigations is contained in a Statement of Reasons, which will be available on 28 December 2011 on the CBSA's website at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi. The CBSA will make its final determinations on the case on 12 March 2012.
