Canada : Anti-dumping and Countervailing Actions against Certain Stainless Steel Sinks from the Mainland of China: Initiation of Investigations

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) published a notice on 27 October 2011 announcing the initiation of investigations into the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of certain stainless steel sinks originating in or exported from the Mainland of China. On 28 October 2011, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) issued a notice announcing the initiation of a preliminary injury inquiry to determine whether the alleged dumped or subsidized imports had caused injury or were threatening to cause injury or retardation to the Canadian industry. The notices by the CBSA and the CITT are available at:

The Statement of Reasons on the case will be released by 11 November 2011 at the same website. Parties wishing to participate in the CITT's inquiry must file a notice of participation with the CITT by 10 November 2011.

The Bureau is responsible for, among others, conducting anti dumping investigations, and guiding and coordinating enterprises in the Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the Guangdong Province.
