US : Domestic and Foreign Food Facility Reinspections, Recall, and Importer Reinspection User Fee Rates for Fiscal Year 2012: Correction

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued in the Federal Register (FR) of 26 August 2011 a notice to make a correction to the FY 2012 fee rate for certain activities if foreign travel is required as announced in the FR notice of 1 August 2011. 2.The trade has been informed via Commercial Information Circular No. 462/2011 of the FDA's announcement of the fee rates for FY 2012 for certain domestic and foreign food facility reinspections, failure to comply with a recall order, and importer reinspections that are mandated in the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the FD & C Act) as amended by the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) at an hourly rate of US$224 if no foreign travel is required and at an hourly rate of US$335 if foreign travel is required. The FDA announces a correction to the fee rate if foreign travel is required. The correct fee rates are set at an hourly rate of US$224 if no foreign travel is required and at an hourly rate of US$325 if foreign travel is required. These fees are effective from 1 October 2011 and will remain in effect through 30 September 2012.
