Peru : Modification of Import Tariffs on Various Products
The Peruvian Government has modified the ad valorem c.i.f. (cost, insurance and freight included) import tariffs of a number of products. A summary of the changes is set out as follows:
Import tariffs of certain maize (corn) and grain sorghum classified under Harmonized System (HS) codes 1005.90.11.00, 1005.90.12.00, 1005.90.20.00, 1005.90.30.00, 1005.90.40.00, 1005.90.90.00 and 1007.00.90.00 have been reduced to zero.
Import tariffs of certain animal products, vegetables and fruits, and food products classified under HS Chapters 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 18 and 20, certain textiles and apparel products classified under HS Chapters 50-55 and 58-63, certain footwear classified under HS Chapter 64, and certain machinery and mechanical appliances classified under HS Chapter 84 have been reduced to 11%.
