DETAILS
-
The CPSC is proposing changes to certain requirements for bicycles in Title 16, Code of Federal Regulations, part 1512 (16 CFR part 1512) to reflect the development of new technologies, designs, and features in bicycles. Among others, the proposed amendment would clarify that certain provisions or testing requirements do not apply to specific bicycles or bicycle parts and make amendments to the procedures for conducting the fork test and the bicycle reflector performance test. This proposal would also facilitate the testing and certification of bicycles required under the US Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSA), as amended by the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA). Please refer to the FR notice for details of the proposed amendments.
