Commercial Information Circular No. 429/2007

Canada : Anti-dumping and Countervailing Actions against Certain Seamless Carbon or Alloy Steel Oil and Gas Well Casing from the Mainland of China: Preliminary Determinations

On 9 November 2007, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidizing on certain seamless carbon or alloy steel oil and gas well casing originating in or exported from the Mainland China. The estimated margins of dumping were found to be in the range of 9% - 68%, whereas the estimated amount of subsidy in the range of 6% - 10%. A copy (pdf format) of CBSA's announcement for the determinations is appended to this circular for reference.

The Bureau is responsible for, among others, conducting anti-dumping investigations, and guiding and coordinating enterprises in the Guangdong province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the Guangdong Province.
