Information Circular No. 359/2007 US
: Anti-dumping and Countervailing Actions against Certain Lightweight Thermal
Paper from the Mainland of China: Institution of Investigations and Scheduling
of Preliminary Phase Investigations
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced in the Federal Register
(FR) notice of 27 September 2007 the institution of investigations and commencement
of preliminary phase investigations to determine whether there was reasonable
indication that an industry in the US was materially injured or threatened with
material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the US was materially
retarded, by reason of imports of certain lightweight thermal paper from the Mainland
of China that were alleged to be sold in the US at less than fair value and subsidised
by the Government of Mainland China. -
Interested parties wishing to participate in the investigations should file an
entry of appearance with ITC not later than seven days after publication of the
FR notice. Written submissions should reach ITC on or before 15 October 2007.
Besides, ITC has scheduled a conference in connection with the investigations
on 10 October 2007 in which parties wishing to participate should contact ITC
not later than 5 October 2007 to arrange for their appearance. A copy
(pdf format) of the FR notice is appended to this circular for reference.
