Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 274/2006

Mexico : Review on Anti-dumping Action against Denim originating in or
exported from Hong Kong

As foreshadowed in Commercial Information Circular no. 314/2005 dated 8 August 2005, the Mexican Government initiated a review on the anti-dumping action against denim of 85% cotton or more from Hong Kong. The relevant review has now been completed. The Mexican authorities considered that the termination of anti-dumping order and elimination of duty will result in continuation of dumping and injury to the domestic industry. As a result, the anti-dumping order was extended for another five years until 10 August 2010. The current anti-dumping duty of US$1 per kg will remain applicable to the product in question originating in or exported from Hong Kong. Interested party may download the relevant Mexican gazette notice (in Spanish) at http://www.economia.gob.mx/pics/p/p2412/230606.pdf for reference.
