US : CBP Announced Creation of C-TPAT Status Verification Interface (SVI)
Further to Commercial Information Circular (CIC) No. 220/2003 dated 27 August 2003, the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced its creation of a C-TPAT Status Verification Interface (SVI). The SVI allows consenting certified C-TPAT partners to verify the participation status of other consenting certified C-TPAT partners. The SVI is a CBP Internet based user interface, the point of electronic access to verify the C-TPAT status of another SVI participant. Access to the SVI is controlled by a user ID and password generated by CBP. More details can be found at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/import/commercial_enforcement/ctpat/svi/.

Electronic services for Restrained Textiles Export Licence, Production Notification and Certificate of Origin enable traders to make the relevant applications directly through their office computer faster and easier.
