US : Update of the 24-Hour Rule on Submission of Advanced Sea Cargo Information

Conference Calls provided by the US Customs Service

With the strict enforcement of the 24-hour rule on submission of advanced sea cargo information on 2 February 2003, the US Customs Service will host a series of conference calls to discuss implementation issues and provide technical guidance to the trade with respect to the 24-hour rule. During these conference calls, the US Customs Service will answer questions that are not covered in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section of the 24-hour rule on its website (http://www.customs.gov). The calls are scheduled on 5, 11, 18 and 25 February 2003 from 11:30am to 12:30pm (US Eastern Standard Time). The phone number is 202-927-5927, Pin #20503. As a limited number of lines are available for each date, calls will be accepted on a first come basis. Apart from these conference calls, traders can continue to send their questions to the US Customs Service by email to traderelations@customs.treas.gov.
