In my Commercial Information
Circular No. 10/99, I have attached the HK Merchant Shipping Notices No.
23/1996 and No. 45/1998 issued by the Marine Department for your attention.
The Marine Department has recently issued notices reminding owners, agents
and masters of vessels, local vessels operators, shippers, forwarders
and cargo operators to comply with relevant safety regulations in handling
fumigated freight containers, barges and other cargo transport units on
vessels. The notices are now attached at Annex
A and Annex B.
