Commercial Information Circular No. 28/97
Mexico :Revision to Labelling Rules for Textiles and Apparel (NOM-004-SCFI-1994)
Further to Commercial Information Circulars No. 18/96 of 16 February 1996 and No. 103/96 of 12 October 1996, the Department has received information that in February 1997 Mexico has issued further revisions to its labelling rules for textiles and apparel.
- Based on information available we have attempted a table at Appendix (pdf format), setting out the main revisions. The table is provided for reference only. We are not certain that we have the complete details of the revision, and are currently seeking more information from the relevant Mexican authority.
- The trade will be informed of further development. Traders may also wish to contact their importers in Mexico for details of the new requirements.
