Elimination of Visa Requirement
The US Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements (CITA) published a Federal Register (FR) notice on 5 July 2005 which announced that for textiles and clothing (T & C) products which were subject to the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement on Textiles and Clothing quotas and were exported
prior to 1 January 2005 from WTO members, the requirements for visas, Electronic Visa Information System (ELVIS) transmissions, staged entry etc. are terminated with effect from 1 July 2005 (US time). A copy of the FR notice is at the
